I had read this book from the library and loved it so much I ordered it.
I am learning all about hair care. One of the books I read said to treat your hair like you would fine silk. I like that idea. It said never to wash your hair in hot water. It suggested shampoo should be used sparingly and a small dot on the palm first than gently on the hair.
I am working on making my own shampoo. I grow soapwort. It is has pretty pink flower in the spring. The low growing habit makes it a perfect herb to grow in my butterfly garden.
I gathered rain water for my rince.
I used my Rosemary and the rain water.
Very nice.
Rose water makes a nice refresher spray on hot afternoons too.
I sprayed my hair with some this afternoon.
I think I will go spin for awhile and listen to some music!

Dear Sherry....I think it is lovely to make your own products. This way, you know exactly what goes into them. We use far too many chemicals...
I have just found a young girl locally who makes skin creams etc from essential oils.....lots of lavender involved. I am enjoying what I have used so far. She intends to expand....she lives five miles along the road.....I think I will be visiting her little shop regularly.....
Dear Cheryl,
I am enjoying making my own beauty products. My herb garden will be growing! I love going out to the garden for my needs. Herbs are a part of who I am.
Having a heralist near by is WONDERFUL! Lavender is so useful. I want to grow lots more in the coming years. As I change the gardens I am thinking about use. I also am including a nice "still" area to my studio plans. I need to be able to store my herbs and find all the containers and such that I need when I make my products.
Over the weekend I made lemonaid. Since I had the lemon peels I went ahead and made a batch of cleaning cloths. It is a joy to find full use. The composit saves the day many times!
Thank you for sharing this path with me.
Sherry
Did the spa turn out the way you wanted are you healed now.... MB
Dear Maria,
My spa day at home is every Friday. I set aside the day for me to enjoy some extra pampering. I am doing a weekly facial and foot bath. My healing is coming along slowly but surely.
I feel so much better than I did a couple of years ago. My daily yoga and meditation is making a huge difference. I also learned I was glutton intolerant. I have been glutton free for four months and I think my energy is almost what it was before I became so sick.
Namaste,
Sherry
What a beautiful flower there at the end. You sure do know how to treat yourself right!
Bet you have long lucious hair.
You use the Neem tree?
